During the visit to Meguiars on the 21st March, one club member asked if the clay bar process for cleaning would have any detrimental effect on the additional paint protection process's now being sold by car salesman. (IE The hard wax surfaces applied over the paint to minimize stone damage)
This is the reply received this morning from Meguiars -- Following on from Saturday morning there was the question re the clay and the dealer supplied protective coatings. Anyway the answer is that clay will remove these dealer supplied coatings - they are just a heavy layering of waxes. Be Aware !!! (There were interesting comments made by a member of our group who has applied these dealer protective process's. Maybe best not to repeat or write them down !) |
