Just a quick note to say hello to everyone!  Are there any members here who are also members of forum.bmw5?

I'm based near Inverness, and at the moment I am BMW less!  I've owned 3 e34 525i saloons, 2 of them very briefly indeed!  I'm hoping to acquire another one, a 525 Sport, in the very near future.

My last E34 was a bit of an Alpina lookalike, Calypso with genuine Alpina staggered 17's and front valance - she was a beauty, and I wish I hadn't sold her - been looking for a worthy replacement ever since!

My Parents have both driven BMW cars since the early Seventies, starting off with an early E12, right up to E60 an E65 cars more recently.

Unfortunately I won't make it to Show and Shine, as I will be in Mallorca with some workmates (paid for by the Boss!), but I hope to get to some other meets or events once I get my car sorted!

That's a quieter part of our membership world but there are a couple of folk beginning to pop up and some of the NE Regional meets may well be within striking distance for you.

Good luck with the car hunt!

Yes, I've noticed that alright!  I've been having a look around the Member's Area on the Club website, and it lacks any of the specialists listed for other regions of the UK - i.e. exhaust, alloy wheel, repair and servicing specialists.

I'm going to pop down to my local Main Dealer and see if they offer a discount to Club members, and also to my local specialist, who is very good.

If my local dealer doesn't offer a discount, I can always get bits I need from Cotswold BMW - they do mail order, and are very good - have used them on occasion!

The specialist DB holds recommendations from members so as no-one from your part of the world has recommended anything, it remains blank - if you track any down then let me know and I will get the DB updated.

welcome along
There is 1 or 2 folk from up that way that do attend meets sometimes
We have members from Elgin also so that's not a million miles away
we are in Buckie on Sun feel free to come along even if you don't own a BM
As far as dealer in Ness i have contacted DP on several occasions about club,so maybe you could pop along for a chat and tell him about club and ask to adopt the dealer (contact club HQ if you need any info on that)also if you know of a specialist up that way and you have used them see if they would be happy to give a discount etc for club members and let Duncan (Webdunk) the details so we can add them and spread the word

This forum may be quiet at times, but all meets are posted up here and also bmwccscotland.co.uk
