Hi
I have stored my Winter/Summer tyres in my shed for a couple of years each one in a cover. I have seen reports about correct storagee I never considered I should do anything other than keep them out of the sun and rain etc. So my question is.1) What is the best way to store tyres. 2) Does anyone else use these stands to store their tyres, if so which. personally for modern wheels and tyres its okay to stack them just protect the rims from rubbing etc - normal stuff...if space is limited can get a wall rack...some people will say different but I have stored many sets for several years for family and friends with no issues - so you can save your money - hope that helps

I store my summer wheels against the side of the garage wall and covered by a blanket to keep the UV off them. They are stood up and just leant back onto the wall and blown up to 35psi.
I've never had any problems storing them this way.

I do similar with my winter/summer tyres, stored (stacked) covered to protect from UV.
For my cars which are on SORN over winter I inflate the tyres to around 50psi and stand the car on carpet tiles to stop them sticking to the floor.

Michelin's advice is
- store away from heat sources, and any form of UV light, as it can degrade the rubber. Also avoid storing near and fuel or chemicals - if on wheels stack them one on top of the other (with wheel faces uppermost) - in an ideal world (especially if they are big wheels e.g. heavy) i'd rotate the order of the stack every month or so, and you are not leaving the tyre at the bottom of the stack carrying the full weight for months on end, but that's really picky..
