Hi I have a 1989 BMW e30 325i convertible it has still got its original tyres on, however the time has come to replace them but I don't have the key for the locking nuts. I have been to the local dealer and got nowhere and was wondering of anyone on the forum could help, getting them off-not damaging them! Or how to find the key number!
The car was originally bought from cooper st James in Hyde park London Many thanks Nick Edited by Nicklee12345 - 15 Apr 2014 at 6:07pm |

Don't know where you are but this guy is a genius when it comes to removing locking wheel nuts:

Hi thanks for that, it is much appreciated. However I am on the wirral so they are too far away, you wounded happen to know a way to find the key number or someone who may have a key as the keys are all the same-dealer dependent
Many thanks |

I am not sure how many letters there are, but you could always order one of each, find the right one and then return the rest.

Presume as you mention a "key" you have something like No. 1 in the following link. No mention of key number or any possibility of buying key separately. When you get them off you could replace them with a set of the later alternatives which are still available. I have a spare set with the key if you were interested. If you take a photo of the outer design and post it I will look in my box of locking nuts as nearly have a full set of oem ones...and when next come to the Wirral we can take a look - otherwise find someone good with a welder and then will get it off and if any problems I can tell him how to do it...cheers

It's so obvious, you have checked. When I first got my E30, I couldn't find the wheel nut key. Then my wife pointed out the toolbox in the bootlid that I totally hadn't noticed. There it was!
As I said, you will have checked, but I thought I'd mention.
