e39 hand brakes-any one else have problems

   does any one find that e39 hand brakes are pretty weak?

5 years ago my car got an advertisory on the hand brake being weak.

i took the disks off cleaned everything up,everything looked to be in good order with the hand brake.

however every MOT its been to its need adjusting though the wheel stud hole.

the cable is fine,and doesnt appear to be worn/stretched.

is this just a common issue or could i have some other problem?

the cars a manual,and i`ve never driven it with the hand brake on.

	After talking to my independant BMW man about my E39 handbrake issue's, it seems they all suffer from this, so nothing to worry about. Mine has to be done every MOT

	Its what called a common problem - more so on autos when handbrake not used so much - just need cleaning and use ....even driving and engaging the brake can help if careful
