Chaps, Just had the car in for MOT yesterday, it passed OK with an advisory that both front flexi pipes in the exhaust have a minor leak of exhuast gas. Does anyone know where I could get hold of flexi pipe the correct diameter, I would not think it would be available on its own from BMW. Cheers Kevin |

Hi Kevin
Look on Ebay for a company called RSJ motor factors, they do cats but also a range of flexi pipes, i'm about to arrange to have mine replaced for the same reason.
I believe you will need the 51mm diameter x 8" long ones but double check for yourself. Hope this link works
Let me know how you get on
Kev

Hi Kevin
How much was the garage asking for to weld in the new sections?
I went to get a price to have mine done and they wanted £80 - £100 labour which with the cost of the flexi's brings it up to about £140 - £150, also have a broken clamp which needs sorting. A new complete cat section on fleabay is £220 which they will fit for £45 so now trying to decide which way to go.
Also one very important point is HOW GOOD IS THE GUY DOING THE WELDING? i must say that i saw the guy who was going to b doing mine doing a repair on one of their ramps while i was there and to be honest i could do better myself! Am now looking for somewhere else to give me a quote so if anyone can reccomend somewhere in the Gravesend area i would be grateful.
Cheers Kev
