Hi, been using the megs g220 da polisher with the yellow foam pad and managed to do two rear quarters panels, two doors and the boot lid before the foam pad started to disintegrate and go into holes !              Don't think i was to heavy handed is this normal ? surely they must take more service than this at £13 a time !

I'm about to invest in one of these so will be interested to hear from other users....this doesn't sound right to me, why would they be washable if you can't even do a full car with one?

What type of pad was it and what were you trying to do/were the results OK?

Darren.

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you...

Darren, the machine is brilliant and so was the results, the megs product i was using was their cleaner polish number 83 , with soft buff polishing pad  w8207b, other pad/ polish combos were also used with no problem at all.

Once you have used a pad, how are you cleaning them? do not let any compound or sealant etc dry on the pad or pads.

Using cold water, run the pad under the tap then using a toothbrush work the compound out, then using your thumb rub out the edge of the pad.

Place the pad back onto the DAS and run at full speed to shed any left over, re seal in bag.

Also before you use any pads NEVER put a dry pad onto your paint work, lightly mist with a detailer or water before using.

bought 3 megs pads, cutting, polishing and finishing.  after 2 sessions and 2 machine washes the cutting pad has retired.   the velcro pad has detached its self from the rest of the foam.  the other two pads are fine. is this a fault or did i get a dodgy pad...    been in touch with supplier who told me to send it back for a replacement.  hopefully teething troubles with their new pads.        good luck..    bob
