   A recent survey found that drivers who are 
dehydrated - some admitted to only taking 25 cl per hour - make twice as
 many mistakes as those with a proper level of hydration.  This is 
something to be borne in mind by everyone who is about to drive in 
France during the summer - and in an open car the rate of dehydration 
soars.  

When on a long run in the Z3 I try to drink at least half a 
litre of mineral water per hour, most of which is lost as perspiration. 
 I find that if my water consumption falls, so does my concentration, my
 eyes feel rather sticky, and I feel stiff when out of the car.  A good long drink and a short walk can work wonders in such conditions.
