E36 320i Auto Coupe Missfire

My E36 1993 320i has an intermitent missfire and lack of power at low revs but seems to clear at 2000 RPM.  So entering/exiting roundabouts can be a bit hair raising!!  I have recently replaced the fuel filter, plugs, air filter and checked the coils individually whilst the engine was running.  But haven't found the fault as of yet.  I also took the vehicle to a local independant BMW specialist but they were unable to get any fault codes when plugged into their computer.  Would appreciate it if anyone has any ideas.
