Hi all.

First time on this forum so be kind! I've just joined the club with my first older BMW, although I've run them for years, having had an E36 318i SE, an E46 325ti, an E93 325i M-Sport and and E92 325i M-Sport.

Anyway, this is my new baby as I needed a hobby car to play with. It's a 1990 E34 525i Sport in Bronze metallic according the brochure (light gold to you and I), with an auto box specific as the only extra along with the Blaupunkt Bristol cassette player! It's one of the very last M20 engined 525's as far as I'm aware.

It's got two former owners, the first for 20 years in Hove, and 90k from new with a full BMW history, with far too many oil changes, Inspection I and II's, coolant, brake fluid etc. You get the idea!

It's in great condition, and now it's being pressed back into regular service seems to be cleaning itself out a bit and behaving (after another inspection II which cost about the same value as a shot example Confused ).

Looking forward to seeing some of you soon at shows Smile

Welcome James, she looks nice!

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you...

Thanks! It goes well I have to say - was concerned about it being underpowered but it seems fine!

The interior's mint which attracted me in the first place - even cleaner than on the photos now after I had the mats etc and in the bath with the washing powder! Quite amazing considering the age and mileage. Exterior's pretty good too it has to be said.

And the reason I bought it was to preserve another one in a decent state of repair as they're getting driven into the ground now. Some cars deserve a better end than that!

Thanks Gary!

Even better now after I've detailed it. To repay me it nearly blew up in the first hot day of the year, so new viscous fan later let's see how it goes!

But then again uneventful motoring would be boring, wouldn't it? Confused
