I just bought a 1 Series Convertible with Boston Beige Leather and Sports Seats. Unfortunately I have a large ribcage and the seats are just a bit too small for me.

I am looking for someone who would like to swap their standard seats in Boston Beige Leather for my sports seats. I have only driven 1400 miles.

I know this is a bit of a long shot but thought I'd give it a try.

Thanks,
Simon

Simon - I've heard of having their bolsters padded to increase seat grip/comfort. Perhaps you could look into the opposite? Have some padding removed?

Good luck...

Hi Simon,

Another option might be to get hold of the adjustable sports seat as fitted in the 120d M. The grip width is electrically controlled via a slide switch on the side of the seat base.......

Out of interest do these adjust on the back part of the seat or the part for your bum? Or both?

The sports seats on my 120d have electrical adjustable grip on the sides of the seat backs. All other adjustments: rake, height, tilt.... are manual.

I have a 116d with the sports seats and the part you sit on cannot be adjusted for the grips on the sides.

Bum support is not really that important, particularly when you have such good lateral suport as is provided by these seats - they are far better than the sports seats of the Z3, which are made for obese Americans.

I fancy fitting a pair into my Z3!

I hadn't thought about that - they might make decent cushions, I suppose  . . .
