take it back and complain. then try a karcher mate. i.v had mine for about 12 years and its still going strong.

my karcher has started pulsing when turned up to high pressure on the lance,, anyone have this problem ??

My Karcher does this from time to time, try flushing it out, turn the water on with the output hose disconnected.
It might also be an airlock...not sure how to deal with that though.

pulsing update.. problem solved by replacing the little white plastic piece that sits right at the end of the lance as it was split right at the tip and caused a build up of dirt to accumilate, I can only assume that this affected the flow and somehow made the pump pulse. Any way, life is good now as the karcher is back in tip top working order.
