and wont drive out,as part of my laid off job creation scheam i decide to take a perfectly usable car and break it.
86 325 auto,

the job was to replace both the rubber seals on the tube from the block into the inlet mainfold, which required removing the inlet manifold, put it all back together and will it start?guess the answer,
when i first turned the key it ran on two then died. now it will just crank over,it has spark and it smells of fuel.
if you remove the feul relay then crank it over for a while then put the relay back in,it will quickly spring into life for about 2 secounds then die.
have a some how flooded it?

neil its lucky you dont live near me otherwise you`d have to save a space in your work shop for my fook ups so you can fix em,

Ian,
Massive air leak?

If it will start but not for long then I doubt it's flooding.

Darren.

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you...

Check the breather pipes, servo pipe, as Darren said sounds like a big air leak, check both ends of the breather pipes you may have dislodged one as they go quite hard and brittle after time.
