Is anyone else going to attend the National AGM on 4 May at Llandrindod
Wells? It's only a couple of hours drive from the Birmingham area, so
there is really no reason not to, and you may even find it interesting!
Heather and I are attending, staying in the Metropole Hotel on the Saturday and Sunday, and the Premiere Inn at Kidderminster on the preceding Friday. OK - the Metropole is not cheap, but at the discounted price it is good value for that type of hotel, and people in the Birmingham area can get home that night anyway. For us it will be about an 800 mile trip each way - but if we can do it, YOU can! (I bet there will not be a long distance award!) So come on - let's have a good attendance from Z Register members, even if you do not want to stay the night. |

There is not much information in Straight Six, but the Metropole's website is
http://www.metropole.co.uk/ Tel: 01597 - 823 700 The hotel is in the town, and should be easy to find. Edit: If you wish to stay in the hotel, contact the Club Office, as bookings must be made through the office to qualify for the discounted rate. Edited by Mike Fishwick - 12 Dec 2012 at 4:07pm |

Please call the club office in the first instance as this is the same weekend as the Welsh Weekend and do there might be special deals on room rates (I'm not sure myself yet) but worth checking.

We do have a Club deal for the Welsh Weekend as we have booked out 60 rooms at the hotel. Details of the Welsh Weekend are in the December magazine. There are some limited options for extra nights on either the Friday or Monday at a special price.
Call the Club office on 01225 709 009 to make your reservation. (people do not have to book or stay overnight just to attend the Club's AGM, similarly those attending the Welsh weekend do not have to attend the AGM) Edited by Smiller - 11 Dec 2012 at 8:14pm |

If, like me, you have already booked directly with the hotel, you will NOT qualify for the discounted rate - email the hotel asking them to cancel your booking, and then re-book so via the Club Office.
