oil leak and car turns on and then turns off

i have a 1999 - 2000 bmw e36 compact i have recently had the oil filter changed by a mechanic it has been running fine for the last week or and then i went to start the car today and it turned over and started for about a min or 2 but then shut off and started leaking oil can anyone help me out??

Must be more info on this is this an M44 I doubt the cutting off is related to oil leak but you need to check where leaking from to start with eg filter housing sump etc

Check electrical connections on icv amm etc and check all pipes are sound no cracks and secured properly to start before start accusing the mechanic as it was ok for a week
