I had my Z3 roof replaced by Car Hood Warehouse of Chessington - at £585 it was not cheap, but just like new, apart from the sewn-in rear window.

There is a place in London,on the Park royal estate called Moores but a rear window replacement a year ago was £300 by its self . I also found a place in Liverpool called Prestige which did about 4 different grades , the cheapest was cheaper than both Moores and Chessington but for me it was a 7hr round trip and nigh on 500 mile round trip
What model M3 ? it may be worth contacting Fab Recycling in Glocs or Quarry Motors in Sheffield . Looking at your profile right on the East Coast it might be worth talking to JDC in Maldon and ask who they use |

Yes - not cheap, but half the price of a BMW roof, but made of the same materials, and with a perfect fit. There are cheaper hoods available on the internet, down to about £300, and you can always fit it yourself, but having watched a roof being fitted, it is someting of an art.
I'm not worried about the sewn-in window, as if it is looked after it will outlast the hood. |

Its an E36 EVO M3 convertible 1999 Mike. Although £500 is a lot I consider it a "life of the car" job as I'm not intending to put many miles on the car and it won't see rain if I can help it, car has just under 60k on now, only planning to do club shows and events etc, it will never be a show winner but I am going to put as much into the car as I can, I may win some minor prize along the way with luck ! |
