Hey Guys Quick update, I'm awaiting on info from the show organiser, i will be on the phone to them this week, once i know the final details I'll get it posted up, the cut off point to add more cars has past now unfortunately, However I have had someone pull out, so currently have 1 free space.
If anyone is interested in this space please PM me, first come first served basis. Meeting point on the day in the morning, I was thinking as discussed at the Moffat show, ether the industrial estate road at mcdonalds just at newbridge, or hermiston gate shopping park? Thanks for the update Kev and also for organising this show! The industrial estate road behind McDonalds just at Newbridge is perfect as all roads meet there and we are in the right direction for accessing the show-ground. Just let us know times once you know and don't let me forget that we have someone staying at Norton House who will need directions. cheers Issy |

Hi Guys, talked to Izzy at the German car show on Sunday to see if I can bring 2 cars to the Scottish car show, so I contacted the organisers of the show to be told we are full and can't make any changes, so if have any space or if anyone drops out and you can accommodate me please let me know, thanks John Scott, can bring YMB M4 and Moded 1 series.

RIGHT GUYS UPDATE ON THE SHOW, NEED EVERYONES INPUT FROM THIS, SHOW ORGANISERS ARE ASKING FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT EACH PERSON IN REGARDS TO THE WAY THE CARS ARE ENTERED INTO THE SHOW GROUNDS AND FOR THE NEW ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR BEST CAR AT SHOW **************************************************************** All tickets and stand passes have arrived this morning with me. We will be meeting at the road just shy of the McDonalds at Newbridge, Edinburgh, if anyone doesn't know where this is please give me a PM see attached map, this meeting point is 10 minutes from the showground.  Meeting time will be 7.15am Sharp leaving latest 7.45 am, Last entry into the show ground for club stands is 8.30am, I will be handing out the tickets and car passes on the morning. I need the following information from all drivers: . Reg No. . Drivers Full Name . Email Address . Make . Model . Mobile Number . Address . City . Post Code . Style (Classic, Performance etc This is because of the following which was emailed to me yesterday by the show organisers: "In previous years theres always car scene bickering (dont we love it) about awards and such like, so after the stuff going on last year we have built an online voting system that you, the club organisers are in full control of. Basically put you guys are in charge of your own portal where you input the details for the cars you are bringing, we then tick them off as they arrive so they are live in the system and then at the show you go around and pick what you think is the Best on Show, Best Truck, Best Retro and such like for the 14 awards we have on offer - you dont have to enter them all in the one go and you can go back in and change things if you change your mind. To keep things as fair as possible you cant vote for cars on your own stand(s) or pick your own stand(s) for Best Club Display because lets face it, if we allowed this then every club would have 1 vote awarded :D" Appreciate most of you have forwarded on information prior but I've only been given this heads up now as to what i need to submit to the organisers so everyones help would be great! I also need this information ASAP so i can enter into the online system for the show, so please ether reply to myself via PM or on this thread. This is the first they've asked for the info, albeit at a late stage, there is nothing to worry about, however your private data is rightly yours to decide who you give it too thats fair enough. The details are potentially for data capture, but so is anything you may put them into these days, it states, as posted it's for the new electronic voting system, I imagine the personal info would be if your car was to be the one who actually won best in its class etc so they could contact you. I hope to see all member's who have paid attend the show, it would be good for the club, its the only show so far this year that will actually be different from all of the other shows so far this year. If there's any issues with the info, as well as anyone else who doesn't/hasn't given any info ( which is fine) I can let you know if it effects anything on the day, which hopefully it shouldn't but if it does i guess refunds can be looked at with the show organisers? If you changed your mind and decided not to attend the show then I don't know if they would refund you for that, the question would need to be asked, I'm sure it'll be all good tho, I'll go over everything in the next few days. Every show is different, different ways of doing things, as i said to cambell, I imagine the info would be just to contact yourself if you car was to be the car who won best in class etc. I don't see it effecting anything if you didn't provide the personal contact info.

As discussed yesterday I don't mind providing the usual info that is requested for most car shows but I draw the line at my address. I do not see why they need that so I have sent a pm with the info requested minus my address. If they are doing Data capture I hope they are doing it legally! Too much of a risk in my opinion sharing that kind of info with them.
Sorry Kevin I hope it doesn't cause too much of an issue but if it does I will forfeit my place to someone who doesn't mind sharing all their personal info. As has already been mentioned you have done a great job organising this show and its just unfortunate the organisers have done this at such a late stage. |

I have spoken to the show organisers, agreed where members don't want to give personal info details, that it is completely fine a long as they have a contact for the club which will be me, so my details have been given over.
