Surrey/Hants area Pub meeting 27th January 09

Club member Nicola Ward has kindly offered to organise Pub meeting in the Surrey/Hants area.

The venue will be The Jolly Farmer, Binsted Road, Blacknest, Alton GU34 4QD. Tel:01420 22244

There is a large car park, good food, good beer, loads of picnic tables and a play area for kiddies in the summer. It is out in the country but just a few minutes from the A325.

The date will be the last Tuesday in the month, So the first date is 27th January 09 and so on. Time 8pm

Not too late at all Ed. We are now up to about 12 -14 who are going to try and come. Maybe also another guy with an E46 M3 if he finishes work at a reasonable time. Chris Plummer (local Indy) has said he'll try and come with some of his diagnostic equipment for anyone interested, possibly another 2 or 3 ladies, as well as people with various models and the same passion! I can't wait now - it feels like Christmas to me ! We are meeting in the main bar this time - which is big and should be quietish on a Tuesday. Next time and onwards we have the big room at the back which is also quite nice.
Hope to see you both on Tues.

Hi Nic
I don't think I know it but it is only a few miles up the road so I should be able to find it.  BTW, I hope it's ok if I turn up in something other than a BMW - my 2002 doesn't like this wet weather and sadly my E36 Touring was traded in for something with more seats a few weeks ago.  I'll try to cover up the badges on my French car...

It'll be dark Tim (and no doubt a bit wet) and so no-one will notice your lack of Beemer! Use the link at the top cos it might be a bit difficult depending on which way you are driving. It's easy from the A325 though if you're coming from that direction. See you tomorrow

Thanks Melvyn - My view of it was very subjective! I really enjoyed it and still on a high this morning at 5.30 when I had to get up and drive to Coventry! I hope everyone else enjoyed it - shame it was dark though! We saw Tim drive out in his 2002 - it looked stunning from where we were (can't wait to have a proper look at it!) I now also have my own personal E46 M3 mentor - Ed (gorgeous car) said I can ask him for any tips (not that I am definitely going to get one you understand ) - Also Bill came along in his E30 M3 which looked SO cool -we had 16 altogether and at least another 6 who wanted to come but couldn't make it.  I would have loved to have seen all those cars in the daylight! Never mind - maybe soon!
