the one place I wish I had looked before I bought was Mike Fishwicks articles. so here is a link to the Wiki here on Zroadster.org which has copies. I do know they are also on the clubs site but do not know where they are and hence it is quicker for me to post the link from Zroadster.org. I hope this helps. I am also sure Mike will offer plenty of advice as well as soon as he spots your post. Regards Duncan

I have not really been keeping my eye on used Z3 prices - although out of curiosity I asked WeBuyAnyCar.com to value my 1998 2.8, their valuation being £895!
It really depends on condition, and how desperate the owner is to sell. Look at the condition and the owner, rather than the service history, which really means very little. Avoid the 'dump the clutch at 5000 rpm' brigade, and the 'I only drive 20 miles a week to work and back' people, both of whom to more damage to the engine and transmission than normal users. I have just added an updated version of my article on Buying a Z3, which withthe other zroadster information is now also in this forum. I hope it will be of use to you - have a look at 'Buying a Z3,' in the upper (announcements) part of this forum, and 'Z3 Basic History'. Also look at my articles in the 'How To' part of the main BMWCC Forum where you will find a load of useful information based on my Z3. Let us all know if you need anything else - Mike Edited by Mike Fishwick - 26 Mar 2013 at 1:33pm |
